Readers Journal
The Fellowship of the Ring was an overall great book, at some points it may have gotten a little bit annoying and boring for the repetition of the same thing over and over again. But in this book the main characters showed so much bravery and hope to find out about this ring. Now I only have read the first book, but so far Tolkien gets a plus one. Middle earth and Tolkien’s tales are some of the greatest stories of all time and it affects many today. This was a great book in the fact that it was very immersive Tolkien would include some of the most intricate details and stories from every character. When I read the Hobbit which is the prequel to this book and a completely different story, I was also blown away. After reading the Hobbit reading the beginning of the The Fellowship was very alike. They both began with a party, one expected and one unexpected. Reading the first part of The Fellowship I could feel the nostalgia and the greatness of the start of an amazing journey.
In the Fellowship of the Ring, I feel like my life connects with this book because I have always loved old nordic type dragon stories. One of my most favorite video games of all time (Skyrim), has some many elements of what middle earth uses. This is one reason as to why I loved the stories.
All stories have some kind of side story that happened in the background. In another video game inspired by Lord of the Rings called Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor which brung me to such good stands with the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit series.
